Covenant of Christian Love
In obedience to the Word of God - and for the glory of God- we commit ourselves to pursue purity and love in heart and speech.
We commit ourselves to the goal of giving only a good report.
When this is not possible, we commit to remain silent or go to the person privately to affirm our love and our desire to give a good report, and to explain the offense that prevents us from doing so.
Only if we are unable to restore an offender in private will we share the problem with others (according to the guidelines of Scripture) so that together we may lovingly pursue the offender’s restoration.
When we violate these commitments, we purpose to ask forgiveness in order to preserve the bonds of Christian love.
We affirm our recognition that, as individuals, we are accountable to God for each of our words and our commitment to trust Him daily for the grace to live by this Covenant of Christian Love.
